LED는 근본적으로 전기 에너지를 빛 에너지로 전환하는 효율이 매우 좋다. 이에 더불어 전기 에너지를 빛 에너지를 변환하는 것을 디지털로 제어할 수 있다. LED 디지털 제어는 우리에게 편리함을 포기하지 않으면서 에너지를 절감할 수 있는 응용 또는 융합 기술을 제공할 수 있다. 본 고에서는 녹색성장 저탄소와 LED와의 관계를 제 2장에서 설명하고, LED 융합 기술인 RGB LED디지털 색상 제어 기술과 LED 조명과 무선통신 기술을 동시에 제공할 수 있는 가시광 무선통신 기술을 제 3 장에서 설명한다. 제 4장에서는 LED 응용 그린 IT 발전 전망을 제시하고 5장에서 LED 응용 기술의 필요성와 기대 효과와 함께 그린 IT 발전 방향을 기술한다.
