밀리미터파 대역 차량용 레이다 안테나는 두께가 얇고, 제작이 쉽고, 저렴한 마이크로스트립 배열안테나가 주로 사용되고 있다. 다양한 구조의 마이크로스트립 배열안테나 중 마이크로스트립 콤라인 배열안테나는 손실이 작고 좁은 공간에 많은 방사소자를 배열할 수 있다는 장점이 있어 최근 많이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 기존 콤라인 배열안테나의 스텁형방사소자만을 이용하여 밀리미터파 대역에서 요구되는 낮은 부엽준위를 달성하는 것은 여전히 어려운 경우가 대부분이다. 본 논문은 콤라인 배열안테나의 부엽준위를 낮추기 위해 급전선과 방사소자의 연결부 폭이 일정한 콤라인 방사소자를 제안하고, 기존의 방사소자와 제안한 방사소자로 구성된 1×17 배열안테나를 −20 dB 부엽준위를 가지는 테일러 가중치 분포를 적용하여 설계하였다. 제작된 안테나의 측정된 이득이 15.3 dBi이고, 부엽준위는 −21.5 dB로 설계 조건을 만족하였다.
