제1장 서론 제1절 연구 개요 1. 연구 필요성 및 추진 배경 가. HDR 비디오 전/후처리 기술 원천 기술 확보 필요 HDR(High Dynamic Range) 비디오 전/후처리 기술은 그림 1.1과 같이 카메라로 획득한 광신호를 디지털 전기신호로 변환하는 전처리 기술과 디지털 전기신호를 광신호로 역변환하는 후처리 기술이다. 비디오 신호처리 워크플로우(workflow)를 비디오 신호처리 파이프라인(pipeline)이라고도 한다. <그림 1.1>과 같이 비디오 전처리와 후처리는 비디오 서비스를 위해 반드시 필요한 핵심 요소 기술이며 관련 원천 기술 확보가 필요하다.
나. 차세대 HDR 비디오 기술 우위 선점을 위한 핵심 원천 기술 확보 필요 UHDTV 방송서비스 표준화 과정에서 HDR 비디오 서비스에 대한 필요성이 제기되었고, 현재 UHDTV 방송에서는 HDR 비디오를 제공하고 있다. 방송 이외 Netflix, Amazon, Youtube 등 OTT 서비스에서도 HDR 비디오를 제공하고 있다.
