본 과제는 미래의 복합. 다기능 무선 멀티미디어 서비스를 단일 칩에 수용 가능한 transceiver구조를 제안, RF CMOS 집적회로 원천기술 확보하며, 가변 block 혹은 programmable 핵심블럭 구조 및 회로설계 기법을 도입하여 광대역 혹은 다중밴드용 트랜시버 개발에 필수적인 원천기술 확보가 그 목표로서 주요연구 결과로서는 - Programmable한 핵심 블록 확보로는 Stacked inductor와 switch의 가변인덕터, Digital Control이 가능한 90dB DR 가변이득 증폭기, 0.9/1.5/1.85/2.1/2.4 GHz 대역용 다중밴드용 LNA & Mixer, Switched capacitor를 이용한 저위상잡음 주파수 합성기 등이 있고, - 가변 핵심블럭을 고려한 Transceiver구조 연구로는 Half LO를 사용하는 Sub-harmonic Mixer를 구현 및 평가, RF Signal 경로에 따른 I/Q mismatch의 정량적 분석 및 시스템 성능분석 하였으며, - 가변 RF IC 시제품 설계를 위해서는 확보된 블록으로 구성된 DCR 구조의 receiver를 구현을 통하여, 국제14건, 국내24건의 특허를 출원하였고, SCI 15건, 기타6건의 논문을, 국제 23회, 국내8회의 학술대회에 논문을 발표하였음. - 산.학.연의 RF CMOS 기술확산을 위해 워크샵을 4회 주관 개최하였으며, 연 10회 이상의 기술교육, 기술강좌, workshop에 연구결과를 발표하였으며, 산업체/연구소/학계분야의 초청 및 전문강좌를 통해 기술확산을 위한 노력을 수행하였음. 주요연구 결과를 homepage (http://rfcmos.etri.re.kr)를 통해 기술의 저변을 확대하고, RF CMOS 집적회로 설계분야에서 기술거점 역할을 수행함으로서 국가기술 경쟁력을 강화에 노력함.
