Abstract
1. 8x16 Multicast 스위치 Prototype 제작 o 8x16 Multicast Switch 제작은 일반적으로 광도파로 스위치 방식과 MEMS Switch를 이용한 Free Space Switching 방식이 사용됨. o Free Space Switching 방식의 경우 낮은 광 손실의 장점을 가지고 있으나, 스위치 구조가 복잡하고 기계적 안정성이 확보되지 않아 신뢰성이 떨어지는 문제점을 가지고 있음. o 광 도파로 스위치 방식은 실리카 도파로 기술을 이용한 저손실의 열광학 스위치를 이용하고 있지만 실리카 광 도파로 스위치의 동작 전력 손실이 크고 자체의 구조가 복잡하여 전체 칩 사이즈가 커지고 제작이 어려움.
1.1. 8x16 Multicast 스위치 설계 o 본 연구에서는 1차년도에 순수 국내 기술로 확보한 단순한 구조의 폴리머 전반사형광 스위치 기술과 실리카 광 도파로 소자 기술을 결합하여 보다 단순한 구조의 8x16 Multicast 스위치 기본 구조를 설계하였음. o 당해년도에는 전년도에 설계된 Silica & Polymer Hybrid 구조의 8x16 Multicast SW Prototype 시제품을 제작하여 동작 및 적용 가능성을 확인하였음.
